What we collect, and what we do not

The short version

We keep as little as we can. Your assessment answers and your scores are never written to our database. We do not sell your information, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers on these sites.

Taking an assessment

You can take the FallShield fall risk assessment or the Optimization Scorecard without an account.

Your answers are sent to our server so they can be scored and so a PDF can be built for you. They are not saved to our database, and neither is your score. While you are working, your answers and your results sit in your browser session storage, which your browser clears when the tab closes.

Close that tab without downloading or emailing the report and there is nothing left on our side to look up later. That is deliberate. It is also why we cannot recover a past result for you.

If you create a free account

An account is only needed in order to download or email your PDF. It stores your email address, the name you give us, and whether you agreed to hear from us.

Your history is one row for each finished assessment, holding the date and which of the two tools it was. Your score, your risk level, and your answers are not in it. You can ask us to delete your account and that history at any time.

Emailing yourself the report

If you choose to email your PDF, it goes to the address on your account and nowhere else. We build the file, hand it to our email provider to deliver, and keep no copy of it. The message passes through that provider the way any email passes through a mail service.

Contact forms

What you write in a contact form is emailed to Josh so that he can reply. It is not added to a marketing list.

Cookies

No advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, no tracking pixels. Signing in sets a cookie that keeps you signed in. That is the only one.

Who else handles this

Three providers, each doing one job. Our host serves the sites. Our database provider stores accounts and the date-only history described above. Our email provider delivers report emails, contact messages, and password resets.

What this is not

These tools are educational. They are not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for talking with your clinician.

We are not a HIPAA covered entity and these are not HIPAA-protected services. That is part of why your scores and your answers are not stored. The safest place for health information we do not need is nowhere.
